Death of Newborn Under Investigation By Enfield Police

ENFIELD, CT — Police responded to a home on Sharren Lane Friday following a report of the death of a newborn baby. Police Chief Alaric Fox said officers have secured the scene, and a search warrant is pending.

The house is in close proximity to Saint Martha School, but Fox said security precautions were not necessary, saying, "We don't believe there is a public safety threat."
