DOT Plans Bridge Repairs in Enfield

The Department of Transportation will be performing night work beginning the week of April 13, weather permitting, for the replacement of expansion joints on 12 bridges in upstate Connecticut including in Enfield.

The bridge on Interstate 91 under Route 5 in Enfield will be the location of road work Monday through Friday, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

The DOT awarded the work contract to New England Road Inc. of Clinton at a cost of $2,642,660 for all 12 projects. The work is scheduled to be completed in August 31.

Motorists are urged to obey the posted speed limit and precede with caution.
