The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:
The shift back to a normal school environment and the challenges of mental health that will need to be addressed. I believe we can return to what school looked like in 2019 in the very near future but the task of addressing mental health needs to remain a top priority. I look forward to continuing serving on the Youth Mental Health and Wellness Advisory Council to figure out ways the town can help those in need.
Critical differences between me and my opponents:
I have learned a lot in my first two years on the Board of Education. I want to take what I have learned and hopefully be able to apply it to the next two years. My involvement in the community from coaching youth baseball in Enfield Little League, football with the Enfield Ramblers, being Vice Chairman of First Readers, and my experience in professional school positions connects me to material that is at the forefront of the Board of Education.
Accomplishments:
I have always believed mental health is a top priority for Enfield schools but my willingness to not be afraid to talk about this issue has hopefully had a significant impact. I am proud to sit on the Youth Mental Health and Wellness Committee and to have had reports from these mental health meetings be reported back to the entire Board.
Other issues:
Enfield schools are on a great pathway forward and I want to be able to continue to see the growth forward happen. Many young families have now made Enfield home and I think in large part to the overall success of our schools. It is our job to continue to give them a school system that they can be proud of and to attract even more families to Enfield.
What else would you like voters to know about you?
My eagerness to see the town of Enfield grow and my commitment to the youth hopefully highlights my willingness to serve and make an impact on students' and families' lives.
