The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:

In serving the residents of Enfield these two areas are paramount and Public Safety and Economic Development. Working on the Public Safety Committee allows me first hand information on the needs of the community and how to approach solutions. Having a Police Sub Station in Thompsonville and bike patrol is a great gain in visibility and presence. I was instrumental in supporting the video cameras in strategic places in town saving man hours and overtime pay.

Gaining new quality businesses in town will help our tax base and I would love to see the mall once again become a thriving shopping center.

Critical differences between me and my opponents:

Having grown up in Enfield and having lifelong friendships with people in town from all walks of life, allows me the diversity of understanding residents. Being a good listener helps to gain solutions. Not just listening but understanding people and what they're trying to convey. I'm a real people person, and it's never about me, it's about what's best for our community. I find myself being a genuine conduit, connecting people all over town. I enjoy helping people find solutions to their issues because I know whatever the problem, and it is important to them and they want a quick solution.

Accomplishments:

I spent four years on the Enfield Board of Education and four years on the Town Council. Other committees I served on are: Curriculum Committee, Chairman of Public Safety, CREC Board of Directors, CREC Council, Chairman for Opening Ceremony for the New Enfield High, 4th of July Celebration, Rachel's Challenge, Commission on Aging, Enfield Together Coalition, Youth Services Advisory Board, Cultural Arts Commission, Faith Based Community Committee, Crisis Response Team, Enfield Rotary, and First Readers and Network Against Domestic Abuse.

All these committees have provided a wealth of information that provided me the knowledge to make sound decisions.

Other issues:

My goal is to keep taxes flat but services high and consistent. I want to find ways to bring in more quality businesses, listen to our seniors and keep our residents safe. As a councilor I know how important it is to support our students, teachers, superintendent and all educational staff, and as well as the town employees. Town Manger Chris Bromson and Superintendent Chris Drezic have been strong advocates for the positive upgrades and updates to our schools and town facilities which the Republicans have fostered over many years . We are all working together to keep Enfield a great place to live.

What else would you like voters to know about you?

Public office is a great way to serve the community of Enfield. It's all about relationships. Working with people from all walks of life, different ages, backgrounds and opinions make this job exciting. I actually enjoy the "conflict and resolution" aspect of serving, meaning, confronted with a problem then working together to find a solution. It's very gratifying. Serving on the Town Council has allowed me to discover some wonderful people, residents as well as my colleagues on the council itself. Serving is it's own reward, I want to leave the town in a better place than when I found it. Even through a pandemic we've made great accomplishments. Leading with purpose and passion, and that's rewarding.
