ENFIELD, CT — As the newest crop of electees prepare to be inducted into the Enfield Athletic Hall of Fame in September, a new TV series focusing on the organization, produced by a Hall of Fame board member, is set to air its debut episode next week.

"Journeys" is a monthly show which will feature conversation with a pair of Hall of Fame members. The initial 30-minute program was taped July 10 at the Cox Communications public access studio in Enfield, and is slated to air on channel 15 through the remainder of July at 8 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays at 11 a.m.

Guests on the inaugural program were one of the most beloved and honored couples in all of Connecticut sports. Cookie and Bob Bromage combined for more than 100 years of high school coaching, a feat unparalleled in state history, and have the unique distinction of being the only husband-wife duo in New England to each have playing surfaces dedicated in their honor.

Powder Hollow Park is now the home base for Enfield High School varsity baseball, and in April 2022, the diamond there was dedicated as Bob Bromage Field.

Host Tim Jensen, editor of Enfield Patch and a longtime member of the Hall of Fame board of directors, chatted with the couple about coming to Enfield from their respective hometowns of Berlin and Suffield, their years of success with their programs, their Hall of Fame memories, the field dedications in their honor and the thrill of having three dozen of their former players join them as individual Hall of Famers.
