Enfield, Fermi Field Hockey Alumni Set for Annual Battle [UPDATED]

Former Raider and Falcon players from the 1960s through the 2010s are encouraged to join in for a day of fun, camaraderie and memories.

ENFIELD, CT — It's time once again to dust off the sticks and get back into game shape in preparation for the fifth annual Enfield vs. Fermi high school alumni field hockey game.

This year's contest will take place Saturday, Oct. 28 at noon at the turf athletic complex of the former Fermi High School. NOTE: this is a change from the originally scheduled time of 9:30 a.m.

As the home team, Fermi Falcon graduates are asked to wear white shirts, while Enfield Raider alumnae should be clad in green. Graduates of either school from all years are encouraged to participate, and any 2017 graduates who played for both programs will be allowed to choose which side to play on.

An award is presented each year to the "most veteran" returnee to play, with the record being held by Diane (Teske) O’Brien, a 1975 Fermi graduate who played in the 2015 event.

Raffle prizes will be up for grabs during the event, and at the after-party at Chicago Sam's on Elm Street. Money raised from raffle sales will be donated to the Enfield Eagles field hockey program. Prize donors are still being sought.
