"I am beyond honored to have received this award last night," Geaglone told Patch Wednesday morning. "It has been my goal since sophomore year. I wanted to do this for my coaches, and I wouldn't have done it without them and my teammates."
Geaglone, a midfielder who earned All-Conference honors each of her four years at Enfield, tallied 22 goals and 13 assists this season, pacing the Eagles to a 16-0 regular season record and the top seed in the Class L state tournament. She was joined on the All-State first team by her sister, Tori, and teammate Mikayla March.

"I am so happy for Taylor in earning the Connecticut Field Hockey Player of the Year Award," legendary Enfield coach Cookie Bromage said. "She has always set her sights playing to the best of her ability to help her team succeed. Through her hard work and dedication, Taylor developed excellent stickwork skills, offensive and defensive principles, strategies, and became a student of the game. She is extremely loyal to me and our coaching staff. Every once in a while, a coach gets the chance to have an exceptional player on their team. I am blessed to have had the opportunity to have Taylor as a player on my team. She is truly a special young lady. I am also thankful to the field hockey coaches for their support in recognizing Taylor for this prestigious award."
Geaglone ended her high school career with 59 goals and 35 assists. Next fall, she will apply her skills at the University of New Haven.
"I think she will do great at the next level, and will make an impact on that program," Bromage said.
