ENFIELD, CT — A personal fitness training facility owned and operated by a U.S. Air Force veteran has moved into a much larger location, and is commemorating the occasion with a benefit event to assist the Enfield Food Shelf.

Conquer Fitness, which was opened by Ryan Palmberg in summer 2021 on Peerless Way, just off Shaker Road, has moved a few doors down to unit 3-L, into a 4,000 square foot site. The center specializes in helping adults in their thirties, forties, fifties and beyond get into amazing shape, gain strength, move better and feel more confident through adult strength and conditioning training, as well as lifestyle and nutrition coaching.

The relocated facility is hosting an open gym with a circuit-style full body workout for all fitness levels, led by a coach, on Sunday, Nov. 19 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The event is open to any members of the public who bring five or more non-perishable food items for the Enfield Food Shelf. Anyone bringing 10 or more items will be gifted two free personal training sessions for themself or a family member.

"We want this event to drive the most donations in the town and are requesting maximum support from our community," Palmberg said. "We believe that all families and persons should have food on the table during this holiday season."
