Enfield Fugitive Nabbed at Massachusetts Campground
An anonymous tip led police in Granville, Mass. to arrest a man wanted by Enfield police.

ENFIELD, CT — Two people were arrested Monday - one in Connecticut, another in Massachusetts - in connection with a series of crimes which began in early April.
Around 10 p.m., police in Granville, Mass., acting on a tip from Enfield police, went to the Prospect Mountain Campground and arrested a man who has been listed in the Enfield Police Department web site's "Most Wanted" section.
Craig Powell, 42, is being held on a fugitive from justice charge at the Hampden County House of Corrections in Ludlow, Mass., pending extradition to Connecticut, Granville Sgt. Patrick Winslow said Tuesday morning.

Enfield police have an outstanding warrant for Powell on charges of first-degree larceny, fourth-degree larceny, and three counts each of criminal trover and conspiracy to commit credit card theft, Lt. Willie Pedemonti said.
Pedemonti said police had received an anonymous tip through the department's "Most Wanted" feature that Powell was staying at the campground.

Earlier Monday morning, Enfield police arrested Elizabeth Powell, 32, of Broad Brook. She was charged with first-degree larceny, fourth-degree larceny, credit card theft, charging more than $500 on a revoked credit card, criminal impersonation, third-degree forgery, theft of plates and second-degree failure to appear.
According to an arrest report, Craig and Elizabeth Powell are accused of stealing a Chevrolet Silverado from TR Auto Detailing in East Windsor in early April, then used stolen credit cards at various stores in the area.
The relationship between the two suspects was not clear, Pedemonti said.
