Student Records To Be Destroyed, Enfield High Says
Former students may request copies before the records are destroyed.
ENFIELD, CT — Enfield Public Schools is preparing to destroy certain student records for members of the Enfield High School Class of 2020, district officials announced.
The Office of the Superintendent of Schools said health records for students who graduated in 2020 from Enfield High School are scheduled to be destroyed. Special education records for that graduating class will also be purged, according to the district.
Officials said the destruction of the former students’ records is being done in keeping with state law.

The district noted that the records may be needed for Social Security benefits or other purposes. No information from the records will be maintained after they are destroyed, officials said.
Former students who would like to obtain their health or special education records should contact the Pupil Personnel Services Department at 860-253-6536.
