Enfield High School Unified Sports Leader Chosen Teacher Of The Year
Armando Ramos of Enfield High School has been chosen the 2023-24 Enfield Teacher of the Year.

ENFIELD, CT — Armando Ramos, Unified Sports coach at Enfield High School and recent recipient of the George Synnott Unified Sports Coach of the Year award from the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC), has been selected as the 2023-24 Enfield Teacher of the Year.
Ramos has worked in Enfield since 2000, first at Enrico Fermi High School and currently at Enfield High School as a Health and Physical Education and Adaptive Physical Education teacher, which he has done since 2013. He was nominated by a fellow teacher at Enfield High School.
He graduated from Springfield College with a Bachelor of Science degree in movement science. In 2005, he earned his master’s degree in health education from Cambridge College.

Earlier this year, Ramos led an Enfield delegation at U.S. Capitol Hill Day to advocate for funding for the Special Olympics. Additionally, he empowered Unified teammates to lead inclusion seminars at the Connecticut Association of Schools Elementary and Middle School Youth Leadership Conferences.
The Enfield High School Unified Sports program was named National Champion Banner School by the Special Olympics in 2018.
