Enfield Man Charged With Doing Over 100 MPH in Vermont

The man was arrested after being clocked at 106 miles per hour, police say.

An Enfield man was arrested by Vermont State Police Wednesday for speeding at more than 100 miles per hour on a highway in that state.

David Roberts, 41, was charged with careless and negligent operation of a motor vehicle after being clocked at 106 MPH while traveling southbound on Interstate 89, state police said.

He was processed at the Middlesex, Vt. barracks, and is scheduled to appear in Washington County Superior Court Nov. 5.
