Enfield Man Charged With Stalking Ex-Girlfriend

He was arrested Wednesday for the fourth time in the past seven months after violating a protective order brought by a former girlfriend.

ENFIELD, CT — An Enfield man with four pending court cases was arrested again early Wednesday morning after being identified as having been on the property of a former girlfriend with a protective order against him.

Ken Xiong, 32, of 59 Church St., was charged with first-degree stalking, violation of a protective order and first-degree criminal trespass in connection with the most recent incident. Bond was set at $125,000.

Officers patrolling the area of Columbus and Park avenues saw a Honda Accord, which they recognized from prior cases involving Xiong, driving on Park Avenue around 3 a.m., near the former girlfriend's home. A neighbor told police they had seen Xiong coming out of the ex-girlfriend's back yard, walking along the driveway and picking through a garbage can, Police Chief Carl Sferrazza said.

Xiong was taken into custody at his home shortly thereafter, Sferrazza said.

Judicial records indicate Xiong is facing charges of first-degree criminal trespass stemming from a July 16 arrest. On May 10, he was charged with three counts of violation of a protective order, first-degree burglary, disorderly conduct, first-degree criminal trespass and third-degree assault, and on Dec. 2, 2016, he was charged with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault. All of those cases involve the same ex-girlfriend, Sferrazza said.

Xiong was also charged with third-degree criminal mischief and second-degree breach of peace on Oct. 26, 2016; that case is also still pending in Enfield Superior Court.
