Enfield Man Pleads Guilty to Repeated Sexual Assaults of Young Girls
The victims were as young as 2 and 4 when the abuse began, according to police.
ENFIELD, CT - A local man charged with sexually assaulting a pair of young girls over an eight-year period pleaded guilty Wednesday in Hartford Superior Court, the Hartford Courant reported.
James Menard, 45, pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child. He will be sentenced July 14, the Courant said.
He was originally charged with 17 counts of first-degree sexual assault, 15 counts of fourth-degree sexual assault and 16 counts of risk of injury to a minor. He has been held in lieu of $250,000 bond since his arrest in April 2014, according to judicial records.
