Enfield Man Is Sentenced to 15 Years for Wife's Death
The sentence is part of a plea bargain that reduced a murder charge to manslaughter.

A 50-year-old Enfield man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison in connection with the 2014 death of his chronically ill wife.
John Dewees Jr. pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter and cruelty to persons as part of a plea bargain in the case, according to The Courant.
Dewees originally was charged with manslaughter, however, that charge was upgraded to murder by prosecutor Vicki Melchiorre, according to The Courant.

Prosecutors have said that Anja Dewees, 45, was chronically ill and suffered a fractured skull after her husband allegedly threw her into a bathtub after she soiled herself.
