Enfield Students Are Taking Over A Pro Hockey Arena

The event gives residents a chance to support student musicians while enjoying a Friday night hockey matchup.

ENFIELD, CT — A local student music group is heading to the big stage — and the community is invited to help make some noise.

The Enfield Instrumental Music Association is teaming up with the Springfield Thunderbirds for a special fundraising night on Friday, Feb. 27, when the T-Birds take on the Charlotte Checkers at 7:05 p.m.

But this isn’t just about hockey.

Enfield students will be front and center throughout the night. The orchestra will perform “God Bless America,” the chorus will sing the National Anthem before puck drop, and the band will play in the stands during the game — turning the arena into a showcase of hometown talent.

Discounted fundraising tickets are available for $22, with proceeds supporting Enfield’s student musicians. Discounted group hats and food vouchers are also available for an additional charge.

Organizers encourage supporters to purchase tickets in advance to guarantee seating with the Enfield group.
