Enfield Obituary: Marie Hannagan, 71

Marie L. (Marchisio) Hannagan, 71, of Somers, entered into Eternal Rest on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford with her family by her side.

Born November 9, 1945, in Haverhill, MA, Marie was the daughter of the late Peter and Edith Marchisio and lived most of her life in the Merrimack Valley. Marie was employed by American Optical in Haverhill, MA, Adage Inc. in Bellerica, MA and retired from Mast Industries in Andover, MA after more than 10 years. She was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Enfield.

Marie enjoyed crafts of all kinds especially, knitting, sewing, and embroidery. She loved feeding and watching the birds and never met a dog she didn't love.

Marie is survived by her two sons, David Parsons of Lawrence, MA and Christopher Parsons and his wife, Sue of Mathuen, MA; her loving companion, James Henderson of Somers; four grandchildren, Christopher Parsons, Jr. Keira Burke, Dillon Parsons and Brayden Parsons; five great grandchildren, Cayden, Alexis, Madison, Niko and Isabella; two brothers, Peter Marchisio and Billy Zimmerman.

There are no calling hours. A memorial service celebrating Marie’s life will be held privately at a later date.
