
Therese M. Ekstrom, 55, of Vernon, beloved wife of Eric Ekstrom, and beloved mother of Tony Carrabbia, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Manchester Memorial Hospital.
Terry was born in Enfield on July 27, 1960 to James and Helene (Ponton) Jordan where she grew up. Terry lived in the south end of Hartford for about 14 years where she raised her son Tony, before moving to Vernon where she spent another 14 years. She worked with Stop & Shop as a Deli Manager, had a passion for the beach and adored both her family, and animals of all kind.
Terry is survived by her mother Helene Lindsay of Manchester; her loving husband of 12 years, Eric Ekstrom; her son Tony Carrabbia of Windsor; her step daughter Kari Ann Ekstrom of Ellington; her brother Mark Jordan and his wife Cheralee of Springfield, MA; her sisters Lorre Jordan of Enfield, Deanne Fauteux and her husband Mike of Enfield, and Melanie Jordan of Newington. Terry was predeceased by her father James Jordan.

A Memorial service is being held on Monday, June 20, 2016 at Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Route 83) from 4 to 8 pm. Burial will be private at the request of her family.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Terry's name to John Dequattro Cancer Center, C/O ECHN Foundation, 71 Haynes Street, Manchester, CT 06040.
