Enfield Obituary: Thomas Green, 83

Tom proudly served in the Connecticut Army National Guard during the Korean War.

Thomas B. “Tom” Green, 83, of Enfield, loving husband of 60 years to Delores (Giordano) Green passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 19, 2018, in CA.

Tom was born July 5, 1935, in Hartford, CT the son of the late Thomas L. and Rebecca (Frender) Green. He proudly served in the Connecticut Army National Guard during the Korean War. He was the co-owner of Manchester Tool & Die, Inc. until they sold the company in 1991. Tom will be remembered for his quiet demeanor and larger than life smile.

In addition to his wife he is also survived by their five children, Cynthia Roberge of RI, Thomas M. Green and his wife, Carol of Jacksonville, FL, Brian Green and his wife, Shanen of Running Springs, CA, Laurie Givone and her husband, Robert of Delray Beach, FL and Martin Green and his wife, Heidi of Somers; eight grandchildren, Ryan Roberge and his fiancée, Renee Lebreux, Leah Roberge, Livia Green, Freesia Farris and her husband, Nick, Whitney Green, Ava Givone, Bianca and Bodhi Green; two great-grandchildren, Aubriella Farris and River Michelle Roberge; a sister, Barbara Smith of East Lyme, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Friday, December 14, 2018, from 4 pm to 7 pm at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial for Tom will be celebrated on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at 10 am at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Rd., Enfield (please meet at the church). Burial will follow in Springfield Street Cemetery, Feeding Hills, MA.

Memorial contributions in Tom’s memory may be made to St. Joseph Residence Little Sisters of the Poor, 1365, Enfield St. Enfield, CT 06082, Dakin Humane Society, 171 Union St., Springfield MA 01105, or to the charity of your choice.
