Enfield Police Announce DUI Checkpoint

The seven-hour checkpoint will be set up this week, police said.

ENFIELD, CT — Enfield police will conduct a DUI checkpoint Friday night along Route 190.

Officers will set up near Palomba Drive from 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, until 2 a.m. Saturday, according to the Enfield Police Department.

Police said they were announcing the checkpoint in advance as required by court rulings. The department urged drivers to plan ahead and not get behind the wheel after drinking.
