Enfield, Suffield First Responders Aiding In River Search
A person was reported to be in the water a few miles upstream in Agawam, Mass., according to a police captain.

ENFIELD, CT — Emergency personnel are stationed on the Enfield/Suffield Veterans Bridge on Route 190, lending assistance to other agencies following a report of a person spotted in the Connecticut River near the Route 57 bridge in Agawam, Mass.
Enfield police are using drones to assist in the search, Capt. Jeff Golden said. Firefighters from Enfield and Agawam and Suffield police have also been called in.
"There will be a police presence in the area for the immediate future," police said on social media. "There should be no direct impact to traffic and there are no threats to the public."
