Enfield Police Investigate Fatal Hazard Avenue Crash

The driver of an SUV was killed when the vehicle crashed into Al's Carpet One.

The driver of a white SUV died of injuries suffered when his vehicle crashed into Al’s Carpet One on Hazard Avenue late Sunday.

The crash happened near the intersection of Hazard Avenue and Broadbrook Road about 9:15 p.m., according to NBC Connecticut. The unidentified driver was transported to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA, where he died, according to the report.

Hazard Avenue was closed for several hours as police investigated the crash that left a debris field of several hundred feet and considerable damage to the building, according to the report, which can be found here.
