Enfield Police Seeking Armed Robbery Suspect
The man robbed a gas station/convenience store early Thursday morning.

An unknown man robbed a Route 5 gas station/convenience store at gunpoint early Thursday morning, Enfield police said.
The robbery happened around 1:30 a.m. at the Mobil Mart at 1595 King Street, Police Chief Carl Sferrazza said.
An interview with the store clerk established that a light-skinned male brandished a handgun, and took an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes. He left the store and was last seen on foot heading south on Route 5, Sferrazza said.

The clerk was not injured, Sferrazza said.
A police canine was brought to the scene, but was unable to establish a track. The store owner turned over a surveillance video to Enfield detectives, the chief said.

The suspect is described as about 5-feet-8 with a thin build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark hat, dark pants and dark gloves.
