Enfield Police Seeking Would-Be Bank Robber

A young man attempted to rob a bank Wednesday afternoon, but fled without receiving any cash, according to police.

ENFIELD, CT — Police are seeking the public's help in identifying a young man who attempted to rob a Route 5 bank Wednesday afternoon.

At 1:10 p.m., police received an alarm from the Santander Bank at 800 Enfield Street, two doors down from Enfield Town Hall. It was reported that a young light-skinned black male entered the bank, passing a note demanding money and implied that he had a firearm, Lt. Willie Pedemonti said.

The suspect left the bank without obtaining any monies, and fled on foot in an unknown direction, Pedemonti said.
