"It is with deep sadness that after 18 years at this location that we have lost our lease and our last day in business will be Thursday February 21st. We would like to thank the many loyal customers, friends, customers that have become good friends and people that have supported us in business for over 61 years. So join us this Wednesday and Thursday for our customer appreciation days and come get that last Frankie's pizza. It has become increasingly difficult to maintain the consistent quality and value that our father always insisted upon and after his passing last April it became even more difficult to carry on, so perhaps it's a sign to slow down a bit and enjoy family while were here. My sister and I wish so much for more time with our parents but since they are both passed we will never get anymore time and we don't want our children and grandchildren to have those same regrets about us when were gone. Thank you again for your continued support through the years of Frankie's Pizza. Check our Facebook page for any future location we may open up."
And at 1:18 a.m Thursday:
"We really have the best customers at our restaurant, the outpouring of love you showed us last night was unimaginable. For our final day today we ask if you could please call ahead for takeout orders and just let us know when you'd like to pick them up and for dine in if you could also call ahead to reserve a table. We had a completely full restaurant last night and as of 730pm qe could not seat anyone. We'd like to accommodate as many as we can today so please call ahead. (749-4012) Thank you so much!"
Frankies opened in 1958. It moved from its former location on Palumba Drive to the Sourh Road location after a fire in 2000.
