Enfield Rolls Over Granby In Football Opener

Avery Boissy rushes for 156 yards in 34-0 victory.

Lukasz Kluk and Avery Boissy each rushed for two touchdowns, and the Enfield High School defense limited Granby Memorial to just 54 yards of total offense as the Raiders cruised to a 34-0 victory in the season opener for both schools Friday night in Enfield.

"We ran to the ball very well defensively, and we didn't miss many tackles," Enfield head coach Jay Gaucher said. "Offensively, we were very balanced, running for 154 and passing for 150."

The Raiders scored all the points they would need with four minutes to play in the first quarter, on a 42-yard catch-and-run play from Kyle Maynard to Sean Gill. Anthony Trotta's extra-point kick clanged off the right upright, but the kicker successfully converted his next four attempts.
