Enfield Rotary Helps Assemble More than 23,000 Food Packets

Enfield Rotary Joins Community Members and Area Rotary Clubs for a Day of Service.

The Rotary Club of Enfield joined others in Rotary District 7890 to assemble packets of food for area food agencies. The Day of Service was held at CREC Academy of Aerospace and Engineering in Windsor. The group assembled more than 23,000 packets of oatmeal and macaroni and cheese. Enfield's Rotary Club contributed funds and manpower to the day which allowed the club to donate 5,000 of the packets to Loaves and Fishes, Enfield Food Shelf and Asnuntuck's Food Pantry. In addition to Rotarians, members of the community and students from Asnuntuck Community College volunteered.
