Enfield Schools to Open Late Thursday
Overnight freezing rain has created icy road conditions in parts of Connecticut.

ENFIELD, CT — Freezing rain fell during the overnight hours into Thursday morning, causing school officials in Enfield to decide to follow the 2-hour delayed opening schedule. The delayed opening affects all Enfield public schools, Stowe Early Learning Center, Head Start, parochial schools, out-of-town buses and ERfC School Age Centers.
There will be no morning preschool classes; afternoon preschool will follow the regular schedule. Adult Education morning classes and developmental childcare have been canceled. Also, there will be no breakfast served at the elementary schools and JFK Middle School.
