Family Of 7 Displaced After Fire In Hazardville Section Of Enfield
The fire Sunday afternoon rendered the house uninhabitable, pending investigation by the fire marshal's office and building inspector.

ENFIELD, CT — A fire at a turn-of-the-century house in the Hazardville section of Enfield Sunday afternoon displaced a family of seven, including five children.
The blaze was reported at 4:20 p.m. at 3 Southview Street, a 1,700 square foot house built around 1900, according to town land records. The fire is under investigation by the Hazardville fire marshal's office, but is believed to have started in a first floor living room area, Hazardville Fire Chief Jack Flanagan said.
The fire extended onto the second floor of the structure, but an aggressive attack by firefighters from Hazardville, Shaker Pines, Enfield and Thompsonville brought it under control within 30 minutes, Flanagan said.
