Fatal Crash Closes I-91 North In Enfield For Several Hours: CSP
One person was killed in a 2-car crash on I-91 in Enfield early Friday morning, according to state police.

ENFIELD, CT — A 2-car crash on Interstate 91 north in Enfield early Friday morning resulted in the death of a Massachusetts man, according to state police.
Preliminary information indicated around 12:42 a.m., the crash occurred near Exit 48. A 2004 Toyota Scion operated by Fernando Lebron, 60, of Chicopee, Mass., was struck from behind by a 2013 Hyundai Sonata, driven by Dominic Grassetti, 24, of Feeding Hills, Mass., according to TFC Sarah Salerno of the state police public information office.
Lebron suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Grassetti was taken into custody on suspicion of operating under the influence, and was later charged with operating while under the influence of liquor or drugs. He is being held in lieu of $150,000 cash or surety bond, and is slated to be arraigned Friday in Hartford Superior Court.

The northbound side of the highway was shut down for several hours as an investigation took place. It has since re-opened, Salerno said.
