Favorite Fast Food Spots Named By Hartford/Tolland County Readers

NORTH-CENTRAL CT — Monday was National Fast Food Day, and Patch editors in Hartford and Tolland counties asked readers to tell us their favorite area spot for fast food, and why.

Some respondents did not seem to grasp the concept of what fast food is, but nonetheless, here are a dozen of the responses we received, listed alphabetically.

• Blue Asian Cuisine, Chicopee MA - "has the best Asian food around"
• Burger King, Enfield - "the lady that takes the orders at the drive-thru is so upbeat and such a happy individual and a pleasure to deal with."
• Carol's Lunch Box, Farmington
• Chick-fil-A, Glastonbury and Enfield
• Dairy Queen, Manchester
• Jack Chen, East Longmeadow MA - "It's always delicious and consistent, great value too"
• LuLu’s, Enfield - "great food, reasonably priced, many menu choices"
• McDonald's - "for a cheeseburger and chocolate shake"
• Subway - "been getting the footlong meatball sub for years"
• Taco Bell - "I love the meat bowl and their soft taco supremes"
• Tasty Chick, Vernon - "long gone but no one was better, the smell alone would stimulate my appetite"
