Fire Displaces 2 Residents From Enfield Home

Firefighters had the fire under control within an hour, according to a department spokesman.

ENFIELD, CT — Two residents have been temporarily displaced following a fire Friday morning at a Quaker Lane house.

The fire was reported at 8:05 a.m. at 21 Quaker Lane, near the southern border of town, prompting mutual aid response from all five Enfield fire departments, according to public information officer Mark Zarcaro.

Fire officials declared the blaze under control at 8:54 a.m. Two occupants were treated by Enfield EMS, and a photo supplied by Zarcaro showed firefighters administering aid to a cat.

The American Red Cross will be providing assistance to the displaced residents.
