Fire At Enfield Apartment Contained Quickly

The Tuesday morning fire was under control in about 15 minutes, fire officials said.

ENFIELD, CT — A fire at an Elm Street apartment complex Tuesday morning has displaced several residents, according to fire officials.

The structure fire was reported at 10:35 a.m. from Unit 4 of the Enfield Commons at 56 Elm Street. One person who was home at the time of the fire was treated for smoke inhalation by Enfield EMS, said Mark Zarcaro, public information officer for the fire departments of Enfield.

The fire was declared under control at 10:50 s.m. Some residents will be displaced, Zarcaro said.
