Glastonbury Wrestler Advances to Class LL Quarterfinals

TRUMBULL, CT — The Class LL high school wrestling championships got underway Friday at Trumbull High School, and at the end of the first day, 20 grapplers from schools in Hartford and Tolland counties had advanced to the quarterfinals.

The quarterfinals, semifinals and finals will be contested Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m.

Area wrestlers who have qualified for the round of eight are:

• 152 - Austin Abacherli, Southington; Antonio Masse, Conard; Benjamin Goh, East Hartford

• 170 - Daniel DaCunha, Conard
• 182 - Fransisco Jiminian, East Hartford
• 195 - Marquise Haythe, New Britain
