Highway Pursuit After Springfield Gun Incident Ends With Crash in Enfield

Lanes were closed as a result of the crash, police said.

ENFIELD, CT — A vehicle being chased into Connecticut after a gun incident over the border crashed in Enfield on Thursday and forced state police to close some of the highway.

Connecticut state police said the crash took place at 10:53 a.m. on Interstate-91 near Exit 49. Connecticut state police said the car was heading southbound and was being chased by both Massachusetts troopers and Springfield police “shots fired” report in Springfield.

Two lanes are reported to be closed. The crash involved serious injuries, state police said.
