Illegal Weapons, Ammunition Seized During Enfield Traffic Stop
A New Hampshire man driving the wrong direction on a one-way street was found to be in possession of a number of weapons, police said.

ENFIELD, CT — A traffic stop of a motorist driving the wrong direction on a one-way street in Thompsonville Saturday led to discovery of a number of illegal weapons.
Around 1:33 p.m., a vehicle heading the wrong way on Pleasant Street near Bigelow Commons was stopped by a patrol officer. The operator, Thomas Dark, 27, of New Hampshire, was found to be in possession of a Smith and Wesson 9mm carbine rifle with a folding stock with two high-capacity magazines, and a Springfield Armory .45 caliber pistol with five magazines, one of which was high capacity, Police Chief Alaric Fox said.
Additional ammunition for the firearms, a large knife and a machete were also found, Fox said.

Dark was charged with illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, illegal possession of an assault weapon, violating large capacity magazine regulations and criminal possession of a firearm. He is being held on a $50,000 bond.
