The Enfield Recreation Department’s Spring program information is now available online at www.enfield-ct.gov/recreation. The Department has a wide variety of programs this spring that range from classes for preschool, youth, teen and adults, swim lessons, open swim, special events, drop in programs and much more! Spaces are limited and fill quickly so register early!
TONS-O-FUN SUMMER CAMP

Camp is a great opportunity to meet new friends, develop respect, build self - esteem, and participate in activities in a safe, friendly and fun atmosphere. You don’t have to worry about your child being bored. Campers will always have something to do! Activities include: fields trips, special events, free swim time, sports and group games, theme weeks, arts and crafts, free play and more! Our staff is committed to providing a positive experience for each and every participant. Our counselors have been selected on the basis of their skills and talents, as well as their enthusiasm. Staff to camper ratio is 1 to 10. Camp is offered for children entering grades 1 through 10 in September 2016. Participants will register for one of two age groups, entering grades 1 - 4 or grades 5 - 10.
Camp activities and field trips will vary to allow for more age appropriate activities. Camp is held at JFK Middle School and the program runs from Monday, June 27th through Friday August 5th, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM. Before & aftercare extended hours are available as well as a Post Camp session. Extended care hours are 7:30 – 8:30 AM & 3:30 - 5:00 PM. Post Camp runs Monday - Friday, August 8 - 12, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM. Post Camp is held at the Angelo Lamagna Activity Center. SWIM LESSONS
The Enfield Recreation Department is happy to offer Preschool Swim Lessons and Progressive Swim Lessons this spring. Swim lessons will be held at the JFK Middle School Pool on Saturdays beginning April 2nd for 6 weeks. For more information regarding swim lessons including dates, times, and fees, you can call the Recreation Office at 860.253.6420 or log onto our website www.enfield-ct.gv/recreation. Pre-Registration is required for swim lessons. Spaces are limited and fill quickly so register early!
PLAYGROUP
Children enjoy free play and exploration with other children while enjoying toy stations throughout the gym. Parents exchange parenting knowledge and experience while supervising their children. Program is held Wednesdays, through June 1, 2016, 9:00-11:00 am at Angelo Lamagna Activity Center Gym. There is no fee to participate. Program is cancelled on April 20, 2016. Pre-registration is not necessary but a waiver must completed the first day of attendance. This program is open to Enfield Residents only. There is no playgroup when school is delayed or closed due to weather. For more information, call the Recreation Department at 860-253-6420.
SATURDAY OPEN SWIM TIME
The Enfield Recreation Department is offering Saturday afternoon Open Swim time at the JFK Middle School Pool April 2 – May 14 (no 4/23), 1:45 PM – 3:45 PM. All regular pool rules apply. Visit the Recreation Homepage for complete details before attending open swim. www.enfield-ct.gov/recreation.
