ENFIELD, CT — Since there is so much on the line this November, we are compelled to write in support of our son, Matt Despard, candidate for State Rep. in the 59th District.

This is the most consequential election of our lifetime, not just here in Connecticut but across the country. With so many critical issues on the line at the local and national level (women’s rights, veterans and senior services, public safety, etc.) we need strong and independent leaders who will work for us!

As a mental health professional and an Enfield Town Council member, our son is someone who knows how to listen. The 59th District needs new ideas and a new type of expertise that will help build bridges and heal current divides. Our son will work to protect farmlands/woodlands and the open spaces that are so vital to this area.

While he’s received welcomed endorsements from the Independent Party, Working Families Party, Planned Parenthood, and the Firefighters Union, the most crucial endorsement is yours, the people of the 59th District. When elected to the State House, we know our son will lead with his heart and stand with the people, not the politicians. He is a kind and honest man who is a true advocate for Enfield and East Windsor residents.

It’s time to elect a fresh voice to the State House. Please vote for Matt Despard on Nov. 8th.
