Local Legislators Champion Thompsonville Revitalization

Legislators presented their support for a train station in the Thomsponsville neighborhood of Enfield at a legislative hearing in Hartford.

Before Gov. Dannel Malloy unveiled his proposed budget, several Enfield officials testified before the Connecticut General Assembly’s Transportation Committee in Hartford Feb. 11 in support of legislation to create a train stop in the Thompsonville section of Enfield.

The officials said the train station along the planned rail line would help revitalize the Thompsonville section of town and provide an economic boost for the region.
