Local Man Sues Enfield Police, Town Over Arrest
The resident claims he was sleepwalking when Enfield Police used excessive force when they arrested him.

A local man is suing Enfield Police, claiming they used excessive force when they arrested him year ago after he entered a neighbor’s home, reportedly while he was sleepwalking.
According to The Courant, Christopher Demski claims he was “shoved forcefully to the ground,” was shot with a stun gun “at least ten times,” was hit and kicked and suffered permanent injuries when a police dog bit him during the Oct. 7, 2013 arrest.
The lawsuit claims that on the night of the arrest, Demski left his Putnam Lane home while still asleep and walked toward his parents’ nearby home but ended up inside their neighbor’s home that looks identical to his parents, according to the report.
