Long-Vacant Enfield Building Sold, New Life Planned For Site

A former Porter and Chester property that sat empty for years has a buyer and a new future lined up.

ENFIELD, CT — A long-vacant commercial building in Enfield has been sold and will become the new home of a construction company.

O,R&L Commercial said 132 Weymouth Road sold for $250,000 on March 19. The buyer was Serge Lessard of Leading Edge Construction, LLC, which plans to use the site as its primary location.

The building had been vacant since 2018 after Porter and Chester left. The property was initially listed for $799,000, but zoning limits, COVID-19 market challenges, and vandalism delayed a sale, according to the brokerage.
