
A Massachusetts man is being held on $250,000 bond set on charges he abused an infant in Enfield.
Michael Lee Jiles Jr., 38, of Gatewood Rd., Springfield, was charged on Wednesday with first-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment, cruelty to persons, and risk of injury to a child for causing “significant injuries” to a child, Deputy Police Chief Gary Collins told The Courant.
The abuse was reported to police by the mother of the child who is not believed to be related to Jiles, according to the report.

Jiles is scheduled to return to Enfield Superior Court on July 28, according to The Courant report that can be found here.
