According to police, he pulled a man out of his car, stole cash and drove off in the vehicle.

ENFIELD, CT — A Torrington man was arrested Wednesday on a warrant charging him in connection with a July robbery and carjacking in the Thompsonville section of Enfield.
Damon Spencer, 41, was charged with third-degree robbery, robbery by carjacking, third-degree larceny and second-degree breach of peace. He was held overnight in lieu of $25,000 bond, and was slated to be arraigned Thursday in Enfield Superior Court.
Around 2:45 a.m. on July 23, police were called to Pearl Street with a complaint that a man had been robbed and his car stolen. The complainant admitted to police he had come to the area to buy heroin from an acquaintance he knew only by a "street name," Deputy Police Chief Gary Collins said.

The complainant said he was physically pulled out of his vehicle by the suspect, later identified as Spencer, who took the cash from his wallet and drove off in his car, Collins said.
Torrington police eventually recovered the stolen vehicle, and investigation revealed Spencer to be the suspect. A warrant was then applied for and granted, Collins said.
