Man Charged In Connection With Stabbing At Enfield House
Police and emergency personnel were called to the scene of a stabbing in the Whitacres section of Enfield Saturday afternoon.

ENFIELD, CT — A person was stabbed inside a Concord Terrace home and a suspect was taken into custody Saturday afternoon, according to police.
At 2:39 p.m., Enfield police received multiple 911 calls regarding a stabbing that took place at 20 Concord Terrace, in the Whitacres section of town near the Longmeadow, Mass. line. Patrol units arrived on scene and found a suspect outside the home, where he was detained. Entry was made into the home, where a victim was found upstairs with apparent stab wounds. Police began administering first aid until the arrival of Enfield EMS, and the victim was transported to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, where he is reported in stable condition, police said.
Enfield detectives responded to the scene and took over the investigation. A search warrant was prepared and executed for the property, and the scene was processed with the assistance of the Connecticut State Police Major Crimes Unit, police said.

Christopher Usher, 53, was charged with first-degree assault. He is being held on a $250,000 cash/surety bond and will be arraigned Monday, police said.
