Man Faces Impersonating a Police Officer Charge in Enfield
The incident occurred Sunday at the Scantic River Park.

An East Hartford man is facing a charge of impersonating a police officer following a weekend incident at Scantic River Park.
The man reportedly was seen throwing a bag of beer cans into the woods on Sunday and then told Enfield Police he was a police officer from Puerto Rico, according to The Courant.
Adello Viruet, 35, of Graham Road, East Hartford, then produced a document as police ID that actually was a gun permit, according to the newspaper. He also was cited for alcohol possession and released on a $5,000 bond, according to The Courant story that can be found here.
