"Manifesto-Type" Letter Sent To Enfield BOE Members, School Officials
A rambling 3-page document containing several dozen ideological bullet points was mailed to Enfield school board members and administrators.

ENFIELD, CT — A three-page letter sent via U.S. mail to all nine members of the Enfield Board of Education and top school administrators has been turned over to police for an investigation into its bizarre contents.
The letter was obtained by Patch, but will not be published in its entirety at this time due to the active police investigation. However, school board officials said it was delivered in 8.5 x 11 manila envelopes to board members' homes, and to Superintendent of Schools Chris Drezek and Assistant Superintendent Andrew Longey at the Enfield Public Schools central office.
On the back of each envelope was a return address, from a home in southern Enfield.

Police Chief Alaric Fox acknowledged the department has "received a copy of the letter," and the incident "is under investigation."
Rambling and at times somewhat incoherent, the letter reminded one board member "more of a manifesto" than a letter. For example, the first of 20 bullet points on the opening page reads "The word - Black - means to be a SLAVE or DEAD!"

Another entry reads, "A clear distinction between fact and fiction words needs to be made. Knowing the difference between a reporter, journalist, columnist, correspondent, actor, black, Nigerian, white, mortgage, person, human, etc., will help and aid the people."
Each page contains what appears to be a red thumbprint.
Drezek told Patch, "I can’t really talk about it at the moment as it’s a police matter."
