Martin-Brower Announces Layoffs In Enfield
The supply chain management company laid off 87 employees Wednesday, in a move which it said expects to be temporary.

ENFIELD, CT — A "sudden and unforeseeable decrease in business" prompted by restrictions brought on by the new coronavirus pandemic has caused the Martin-Brower Co. to lay off 87 employees from its distribution center on Moody Rd. in Enfield.
The notification was made Wednesday by general manager Rick Westerberg to the Connecticut Department of Labor. Among the affected positions are 37 warehouse workers and 35 drivers, none of which have union representation. The layoffs are expected to be temporary, according to company officials.
