"The Journey" Don't Stop Believing the Network Against Domestic Abuse Annual Purple Event Nets Over $34,000 to Support Programs and Services

The Network Against Domestic Abuse Annual Purple Event “The Journey” Don’t Stop Believing netted over $34,000. Proceeds from the event support outreach, court support and counseling services for victims of domestic violence, as well as a safe haven for women and children in need of shelter. The Network also provides prevention education in school systems in the communities served in north central Connecticut.

Liberty Mutual Insurance, Windsor Office was the Title Sponsor; Smith Brothers was the Purple Ribbon Sponsor of the event while Cigna was the Samaritan Sponsor and First Suffield Bank a division of PeoplesBank, Pickle Jar Deli and St. Francis Hospital/Trinity Health of New England were Humanitarian Sponsors. Champion Sponsors included: 360 Federal Credit Union, Browne Memorial Chapels Funeral & Cremation Services, Cade Cherry, Melania Hasiuk/Coldwell Banker, Fallon Law Office, Todd & Deb Gish, Jimmy Marketing, North Central News and United Bank Foundation.

Guests enjoyed a delicious array of hors d’oeuvres, pasta, carving stations and desserts at Maneeley’s Banquet & Catering and a variety of wine and beer tastings provided by Joe’s Fine Wine & Spirits of East Windsor and Ellington. One lucky person went home with a diamond donated by Swede’s Jewelers. Kevin Hogan, WFSB Channel 3 News Reporter emceed the event and acted as auctioneer.
