Thousands of people have shared or commented on the photo of a deliriously happy mom sending her daughters back to school in Massachusetts.

SHREWSBURY, MA — A Facebook photo showing a mom celebrating as her daughters head back to high school has become a social media sensation.
The picture of Jackie (Nason) Fashjian, who grew up in Enfield and graduated from Enrico Fermi High School in 1983, has been shared, liked and commented upon by thousands of people since being posted on her Facebook page.
Her daughters, Hayley and Millaina, knew the photo of their mom jumping for joy with a glass of champagne in her hand was being taken as a joke, but Fashjian told Patch, "Those facial expressions are for real!!!"

"I love spending the summer with my beautiful girls, but when fall approaches I am ready to send them off," she said. "Then when spring approaches, I am just as happy to get them back! The grass is always greener."
Despite the obvious tongue-in-cheek nature of the gag, Fashjian said some people took it seriously and issued criticism.

"I can't believe how mean and negative some people are," she said. "It was a joke for God's sake! Too much hate in the world these days. People need to have a sense of humor!"
