Pickup Truck Fire Quickly Extinguished In Enfield
The fire in a commercial parking lot on Route 5 was put out quickly by Thompsonville firefighters.

ENFIELD, CT — A fully involved pickup truck fire in a parking lot of a small Route 5 plaza was quickly extinguished by Thompsonville firefighters Tuesday morning, Chief David Deskis reported.
The fire at 699 Enfield St. was reported shortly after 8:30 a.m., and arriving units said the truck's engine compartment and interior was fully engulfed in fire. The blaze was quickly extinguished, and no injuries were sustained, Deskis said.
The Thompsonville fire marshal is conducting an origin and cause investigation into the cause of the fire. It does not appear to be suspicious in nature, Deskis said.
